The Generals 10U team volunteered to clean up the roadside from Albertus Magnus High School to Germonds Park as part of the "Keep Rockland Beautiful" campaign. Nine players and three coaches participated, filling four giant garbage bags and two recycling bags with trash, as well as picking up a handful of oversized items. "This is the Rockland chapter of the nationwide 'Great American Cleanup' effort and is a wonderful opportunity for our players to give back in a small way to the community which gives them so much," said manager Dennis Covert. "Not only did this aid the community and help build a sense of volunteerism in our players, but - very importantly - the players had a good time performing the work and deepened their friendships," added Covert.
Anyone interested in learning more about Keep Rockland Beautiful or who may wish to volunteer or schedule their own clean-up, please see https://keeprocklandbeautiful.org/
This weekend, our 14u Blue players and families did a fall cleanup at their coaches and their coaches parents houses. Incredible gesture by them. Another example that this is about more than just baseball. Generals Pride at its best!
JV TEAMS GIVE BACK TO THE COMMUNITY! Touching Bases is a non-profit organization patterned after the Challenger baseball program, and for 18 years has provided a baseball experience for adults with disabilities in our community. On Saturday, November 23, members of the Generals JV teams volunteered to work the annual awards luncheon for this wonderful organization. Over 200 athletes with special needs attended the event and received recognition for their achievements, Generals players helped enable the day by setting up tables, distributing food, and cleaning up after the event. An enjoyable and rewarding day for all involved. Generals pride in action!

In August our 12U teams will be making a once in a lifetime trip to Cooperstown Dreams Park in Cooperstown, NY.
Our boys will be competing in a week long tournament of baseball that they will be sure to remember for the rest of lives! They will be playing competitive baseball with over 100 other teams from all over the United States. In addition, they will also have the opportunity to go to the National Baseball Hall of Fame and each player will be inducted in the Youth Baseball Hall of Fame. It's an opportunity that will only come once in a lifetime and it is ONLY offered at the 12 year old level, which is why they need your help!
In the next few months, these teams will be participating in various fundraising events to help offset their costs to participate in this prestigious tournament.

My boys and I want to honor Vin’s memory in meaningful way and help someone else at the same time . Vin loved baseball, and was huge Mets fan. Managing, coaching and mentoring players, especially his own boys, gave him great pride and satisfaction. Those who knew or played for him know that he coached not just to win baseball games but to respect the game and most of all each other. Vin gave many players the opportunity to play they may not have had on other teams. We are so proud and happy to say that we have partnered with the Generals to raise funds that will help players who may not have the means to pay for the tuition required for a travel baseball league and who otherwise not be able to play .
If you choose, please Click the link below with Vincent's name or CLICK HERE to be directed to the donation page .
